The Mouse Chaser
Love Cats?
Are you a cat person? We own three dogs, but no cats. It’s not because we don’t like cats, it’s just that my wife and I both are allergic to cat dander. Our son, however, has two cats; one that stays indoors and the other is both an indoor and outdoor cat. What both of these felines have in common is that they are very destructive. Since both he and his wifeare gone most of the day, they have gotten used to coming home to what I have named “shredded house”. They just positively dread it when there’s rain in the forecast because they know that the cats will get bored and mischief will abound.
Mouse Chaser Fun
So when I took a look at this Mouse Chaser on an As Seen On TV commercial, I knew I had to order it for them. It’s a good deal, too…a “Buy One Get One Free” offer. So, for about $34 total (including shipping), two of these electronic cat entertainment gizmos showed up on my door step plus two free red beam laser cat toys.
The Mouse Chaser is a neat device that will not only keep your cat entertained for hours, but you will also enjoy watching kitty try to catch the “mouse”. This battery powered toy is activated by your cat’s movement. When it senses movement, a small “mouse” begins to run around its path inside an enclosed plastic bowl with strategic openings in the top and side. Your kitty sees the mouse running round and round, and tries tocatch it…over and over again! When the cat stops moving the mouse stops running, so your battery life is extended.
Cats Enjoy the Mouse Chaser
Cats don’t miss much of what’s going on around them. When we first turned on the mouse Chaser and put it on the floor, the cat acted like it was ignoring it. But, it couldn’t ignore the red LED beam for long and soon the mouse was running its laps in the Chaser. The cat leaped at the Mouse Chaser, and tried every which way to grab the mouse through the openings to no avail. He would try to attack the mouse for awhile, then walk away and stare at the Mouse Chaser. Then, he’d sneak back up on it, the mouse wouldactivate, and the cycle would begin all over again. Very entertaining for both him and us!
If you’ve got cats, this is a neat toy that may keep them occupied and happy while you’re away. While my son’s cats still sometimes scratch where they’re not supposed to, the Mouse Chaser has definitely helped to keep their destruction at a minimum. It’s as relatively inexpensive item that may prevent the destruction of your home’s furnishings by your favorite kitty!
